Burro Launches Grande 44: The Most Powerful Autonomous Work Platform Yet, Developed with NVIDIA Isaac Sim
Next-generation physical AI robot taps NVIDIA Isaac Sim to bring 1 million hours of real-world field data into simulation — delivering heavy-duty autonomy for agriculture, industrial, and outdoor operations
Burro, the field-proven autonomy company solving the $1.2 trillion outdoor labor crisis, today announced the launch of Grande 44, its most powerful autonomous work platform to date. Engineered for the most demanding operational challenges — towing, transportation, and vegetation management — Grande 44 is available for pre-order now, with first deliveries beginning in H2 2026.
The launch marks a significant milestone: backed by 750+ globally deployed robots, 240,000+ autonomous miles driven, and 800,000+ hours of field-proven autonomy, Burro has translated over 1 million hours of real-world operational data into the next generation of physical AI — validated using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, an open-source framework built on NVIDIA Omniverse libraries that enables developers to simulate, test, and refine AI-driven robots in physically accurate virtual environments.
The Problem At Hand
Every site faces the same bottleneck: crews tied up in tedious, repetitive tasks. Scaling operations typically means growing headcount — but with a shrinking labor pool and rising input costs, operators are short-staffed, margins are stretched, and workflows stall.
Standard automation hasn’t kept up. Where conventional equipment still requires an operator, Grande 44 runs autonomously across slopes, uneven terrain, indoor-outdoor transitions, and all weather conditions.
Grande 44: One Autonomous System, Multiple Jobs
Grande 44 is Burro’s most capable heavy-duty platform, delivering:
- 44 HP peak power (18 HP continuous) via high-efficiency brushless DC motors
- Up to 6,000 lbs towing capacity across demanding terrain
- Up to 1,500 lbs payload on a solid steel cargo tray (nearly 4 feet square)
- Up to 40 kWh battery (10 kWh standard, expandable) for all-day runtime
- 360° 3D LiDAR + RTK GNSS, 4 stereo cameras (12 total), and full lighting
A single Grande 44 can tow, transport, mow, spray, and patrol — integrating with Burro’s Cortador (48″ autonomous brush cutter), Sprayito (vision-based spot sprayer), and Autonomous Charging Dock for continuous uptime.
Powered by NVIDIA Isaac Sim
Grande 44’s AI stack was developed and validated using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, enabling Burro’s engineering team to test and refine autonomous behaviors in physically accurate virtual environments before field deployment. By combining 1 million+ hours of real-world operational data with scalable synthetic data generation and software-in-the-loop validation enabled by Isaac Sim, Burro accelerated development of Grande 44’s autonomy stack across perception, planning, and control.
“NVIDIA Isaac Sim lets us turn more than a million hours of real-world field data into a proving ground for Grande 44 — hardening its autonomy against conditions that would take years to encounter on-site, so it’s ready for the toughest jobs on day one.”

Proven in the Field. Established in Industrial. Built for What’s Next.
Burro’s existing fleet has demonstrated clear ROI across industries. Bell-Hopewell Nursery expanded from one potting line to three with Burro as the towing backbone, logging 4,500+ autonomous miles. Mesa Vineyards runs autonomous mowing and spot spraying across 40,000 acres, cutting mowing cost per acre from $22 to $5 and reducing chemical costs by up to 75%. A leading industrial site uses Burro for overnight autonomous inventory loops across 4,000 parking spots — completing a full vehicle scan nightly and offsetting one FTE.
Availability and Pricing
Grande 44 is available for pre-order now, with production beginning August 2026 and initial deliveries targeted for H2 2026. To pre-order or request a demo, contact sales@burro.ai.
